Current Inland Fuel Costs
Inland 93 unleaded petrol was priced at R29.88 per litre in October 2026, setting the cost paid by motorists buying that grade at inland filling stations.
Reacting during an eNCA segment to the 43% rise in Gauteng’s 95 petrol price, the host said: “I knew it was bad. I didn’t know it was 43%.”
Levy Relief Falls Away
Temporary general fuel-levy relief, which had provided savings of up to R3 per litre, was fully phased out by mid-2026. South African households and motorists therefore no longer received that relief on fuel purchases.
Brent crude oil prices also crossed $100 a barrel amid geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
